2011 Storm Season

Rainy season in Costa Rica always brings with it some new troubles. In a small town like Santa Rosa de Venecia, small troubles can cause large problems. There is one road into town off the Panamerican highway. There is a river intersecting that road and the bridge was washed out with the excessively high rain waters. Being the ingenious people Tico’s are they quickly remedied the problem for pedestrians, and cars drive through the river when it is low enough.

People need to get through so creativity wins out over the elements that took the bridge down!
